Well many of you know about pinch + pound the bulk natural products that you can buy either a little or a lot! I was brought up eating what we thought was some sort of “bird food” and always thought what my friends were eating some sort magical of ‘o’s. I just love pinch + pound and all the organic and body products this venture for me is a lot of fun and I am so excited to have it be part of Earth Day Chiliwack this year. I am excited that this is starting to catch on and hopefully you will stop by and have a visit with my mom, who drove all the way out from Calgary for me! and to celebrate Earth Day Chilliwack with our very special valley!!

I am so so so excited for tomorrow and can’t wait to visit and chat with each and everyone of you!

See you all in the morning and lets have fun and enjoy the sunshine!! Speaking of which don’t forget your sunscreen, cash, dancing shoes and empty bellies!!

Musicians!

Musicians:
1. Barry Eggen, principal trombone, music teacher at Vedder Middle School,
2, Mark Pederson, principal trumpet of Chilliwack Metropolitan Youth Orchestra, Student of Sardis Secondary School.
3. Alix Robertson, Accomplishing Cellist,
4. Anya McRae, Timpanist of CMO, piano, percussion, theory instructor, Facilitator of Canine Assisted Music Learning/therapy
Jack Kopstein is a well regarded senior musician in Chilliwack.  I will ask him to write a short bio for you or mc to announce it.  What do you think?

The opening music for the Earth Day has an exciting news!  Our very own local composer Jack Kopstein wrote a piece uniquely for Chilliwack – Sprit of Chilliwack.  It’s written for trumpet, trombone and piano.  I invited first trombone player from CMO to join us and he is very enthusiastic about it.  Jack, the composer is willing to present at the event and briefing about his composition (multiculturalism and beautiful nature).  I suggested to play “Spirit of Chilliwack” right after the mayor cutting the ribbon then Jack’s introduction about the piece.  Following with trio (piano, trumpet and trombone) playing “Celebration” which is also composed by Canadian composer, Linda Niamath.  What do you think?
Korbitron is bringing a ton of amazing perfumers too for the afternoon!!

They will be in many places on Earth Day Chilliwack and welcome everyone with open arms to their facility at the CSCL community Mathieson centre, inside and out! Inside of course where the presentations and movie are respectively happening at 1pm and 2pm, and outside in their graciously donated garden space for the community gardens.
